This is my 1995 Chevy 1/2 Ton Extended Cab pickup. I purchased this truck in 2015 from my brother and have been thinking of what to do with it exactly besides just drive it. A quick web search for this model year of pickup will yield that this poor thing probably received one of the poorest iterations of the venerable 350 SBC V8 in its long history. At a horsepower rating of around 170 HP and just over 220 ft./lbs. of torque, it certainly doesn't resonate as a solid truck for off-roading, pulling or much else. Combine that with dismal gas mileage and some would have hauled it to the scrap heap and left it for dead. I instead have been doing tons of research and reading and figuring and planning and I think with a little effort and elbow grease, this truck may well be able to get to the 300 HP and 400 ft./lbs. mark. Still not huge numbers by today's standards but perfect for what I intend on using it for and I think the changes I have in mind could increase the mileage dramatically as well. I plan on updating this as the process goes along and post what I learn, what works and what doesn't.
